Apeiron Dreaming

Figurative charcoal drawing with matting, frame

Apeiron is the chaotic, unrealized, boundless potentiality from which everything arises. This concept was introduced by Anaximander, a pre-Socrates Greek philosopher. I believe that after nature, or “all that is”, evolves to a point where it becomes conscious of itself, it realizes that it is not a singular being, but a facet of the potentiality. Distinct, yet part of all. This drawing is my attempt to convey nature (as human existence and consciousness) as a dream in which the dreamer is the dream. This piece is charcoal on archival Rives BFK paper and is 18×22. This piece includes archival mounting, matting and framing. Reference pic by @alexberkun, model @lin_mars7.
